Similar to Six, the Runaway Kid uses an illumination tool: a flashlight. Like Six, the Runaway Kid is a proficient climber and can run for substantial periods of time the Runaway Kid can also swim well, as demonstrated in The Depths chapter. This is shown when he recruited several Nomes to fuel a furnace in order to get out of the Hideaway. However, unlike Six, he is more than willing to work with others in order to escape. He is also not afraid of harming others as an act of self-defense, shown by him electrocuting the Granny with a TV, and later, he battles with the Shadow Kids, burning them with his flashlight. The Kid is a proficient puzzle solver, repeatedly shown to crack codes and solve puzzles with perseverance. Similar to Six, he has a strong desire to escape the Maw. Like other characters in the Little Nightmares series, the Runaway Kid does not speak, but his personality is shown through his actions. It is presumed that he puts it in his pocket when not in use. He possessed no objects until finding a flashlight, which he used repeatedly throughout his adventure. His feet and hands are bare, like most children. He has short charcoal brown hair with long bangs that completely cover his eyes, only revealing a tiny mouth and nose. He also has a metal cuff with a broken chain wrapped around his right ankle. He wears a blue garment, with a collar around his neck and long slate blue pants. (A real Steven Universe type of situation, huh?) Kinda makes sense considering fans at the time of Little Nightmares was released theorized that the Lady was the mother of Six.The Runaway Kid was around the size of Six, with a similar lean build, both being scrawny and thin. Some fanart takes this further and has him and the Lady become the parents of Mono and Six. The more lighthearted fanart has the Thin Man take care of or play with main characters Mono and Six which contrasts the dark ambience and hopelessness of the games. May also go into Angst considering a reunion between these two is sure to be angsty. They are shipped due to the two's supposed history with each other and probably because they're the most attractive adults in the entire game. This is due to the theory that Six grows up to be the Lady in the time loop theory or is her successor after killing and eating her, meaning the Lady's powers were given to Six. Pretty sure he's the definition of sadness.ĭespite the two never canonically interacting or even being in the same game, the Thin Man is exclusively shipped with the Lady, the first game's main and final antagonist. Fans really like to explore the Thin Man's feelings after being betrayed by the only friend he ever had and fully trusted. More or less so of a fanon trait, taking into consideration a majority of the fandom believes him to be Mono stuck in a time loop. The game itself also has plenty of eye imagery so debatable as well.įans like to point out the Thin Man's very obvious wrinkles and collectively get upset whenever someone draws the character as though he were a pretty anime boy in his early 20s. The Thin Man grows up in the Black Tower and is corrupted by the Transmission, a sort of fleshy room with eyeballs watching him. His powers cause everything to glitch or get all television static like. While there isn't any lyrics, the Thin Man's theme The Man in the Hat is an ominous banger. The Thin Man also has the faceless people of the Pale City glued to their televisions.Ĭonsidering you play as a small child and the Thin Man is unbelievably tall and frightening, it's safe to say he's dominating. He can teleport anywhere he wants by using televisions as portals. The Thin Man is dressed like he's from the 1940's with his gray blue suit and fedora.Įven after the game's ending, not much is known about the Thin Man or how exactly he rose to power in the Pale City. He may also be considered as Technically Antagonist considering his motives are never fully revealed.Ĭoncept art and the game implies that the Thin Man is themed after consumerism and television. The Thin Man is the main antagonist of Little Nightmares 2. Whether Mono is the child version of the Thin Man that pursues him throughout the game or is simply his successor is unknown. The ending of the game reveals Mono to have grown up to become the Thin Man after being betrayed by Six and being left in the Black Tower that uses its Transmission to corrupt him. Although he is pursuing both protagonists, the Thin Man is more focused on Mono, a little boy with a paper bag over his head who has the same powers as the Thin Man. The Thin Man approaches Mono and Six, the main characters of the game, calm and collectively while remaining hostile. Like basically every other character in the video game, the Thin Man doesn't speak and reveals his personality through his actions.
